Terms & Conditions

Last updated 6 July 2026. These terms are between you and Work Remote SA, the operator of Remote Ready.

1. Who you are contracting with

These Terms & Conditions form a binding agreement between you and Work Remote SA ("Work Remote SA", "we", "us"), the provider of the Remote Ready online course and related website (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms.

2. Eligibility & accounts

You must be of legal age to enter into a contract in your jurisdiction, or have parent/guardian consent. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for activity under your account, and you agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

3. The Service

Remote Ready is an online, self-paced course covering the skills, mindset, and systems needed to work with remote agencies. Access is granted on a lifetime basis for the specific course purchased, subject to these terms. We may update, improve, or reorganise course content over time.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service. In particular you must not:

  • Use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes.
  • Send spam or infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy rights.
  • Introduce malware, probe for vulnerabilities, scrape at scale, or otherwise interfere with the security or integrity of the Service.
  • Share your account, resell access, or redistribute course materials.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of any part of the Service.

5. Intellectual property

All course content, videos, written materials, software, branding, and documentation are owned by Work Remote SA or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and view the course for your own personal learning within the plan you have purchased. All other rights are reserved.

6. Payments, billing and refunds – Paddle as Merchant of Record

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Paddle handles payment processing, subscription billing (where applicable), tax collection, invoicing, and refund handling. Payment, billing, and tax mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. Refund requests are governed by our Refund Policy and Paddle's Refund Policy.

7. Service level & no warranty

We work to keep the Service available and useful, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit any particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Work Remote SA is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law (for example, for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence).

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Work Remote SA harmless from claims arising out of your breach of these terms, your unlawful use of the Service, or content you submit to the Service.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these terms, fail to pay amounts due, present a security or fraud risk, or repeatedly violate our policies. You may stop using the Service at any time. On termination, your right to access the Service ends, but sections that by their nature should survive (IP, disclaimers, liability, governing law) will continue to apply.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the Service or by email. Continued use of the Service after the updated terms take effect constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of South Africa, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer rights you may have in your country of residence.
